Chaetodontidae

Butterflyfish This is a group of tropical marine fishes of the family Chaetodontidae, bannerfish species (fish layaran) and coralfish also included in this group. Found mostly on coral reef waters of the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans, there are approximately 120 species in 10 generations. A number of species found in the Indian and Pacific oceans, a member of the genus Chaetodon besarbesar size.

Butterflyfish looks like a smaller species of angelfish (Pomacanthidae), but unlike the preopercle that have thorns on the gill cover. Some members of the genus Heniochus resemble Moorish Idol fish (Zanclus cornutus) from Zanclidae monotypic. Among the paraphyletic 'Perciformes', is the kind that might not be too far with the family of Butterflyfish, while Zanclidae closer.
